Living in the Future dvd
Following the hugely successful internet mini series on Lammas, Undercurrents have produced this 60 minute documentary that looks at how life has been for the ecovillage pioneers as they have endeavoured to create a new lifestyle for themselves in West Wales.
The film is both light-hearted and moving, funny and serious – but most importantly it takes a good look at the reality beyond the dream.
The Birth of an Ecovillage Book
From the tribal anarchy of Tipi Valley through to the ordered structure of Brithdir Mawr, this book charts the roots of the Lammas Ecovillage project. It explores the many contributing elements and opposing forces behind the creation of a pioneering settlement that empowers people to recreate their relationship with the natural world.
Paul Wimbush shares his truth in an epic journey spanning two decades and provides a rare insight into the world of alternative communities in South-West Wales. It is a story of vision and hope that describes an emerging land-based culture growing in strength and power.

Wild by Design
Wild by Design is a mini design toolkit to inspire creative solutions for people to live in harmony with nature
This booklet is about the integration of the land and people at our smallholding, Berllan Dawel, part of the Lammas ecovillage in West Wales. It aims to give an introduction and an inspiration to living more sustainably.
The booklet includes tips on how to get started with a patch of land and making sound choices for ourselves and the wild potential of the landscape. With plenty of colour and photos, it has design summaries for a small house; kitchen and forest gardens; grazing and firewood and a land based livelihood.
Packed with ideas for how we can create resilience and live more in harmony with the earth, the booklet also looks at permaculture solutions to meeting the basic human needs of shelter; water; food and energy.
