The Lammas Ecovillage is essentially a new-build settlement based on the principles of sustainability, biodiversity and environmentally conscious living.
The village is based around a dozen or so off-grid smallholdings, with residents (and volunteers) working to build productive and biodiverse ecosystems to support land-based lifestyles. We have built shared infrastructure networks (such as trackways, water distribution, a community centre) and aspire to live lightly on the earth in a manner which is rich, rewarding and resilient.
We have been able to realise our goals because we have been supported by a large number of people and organisations who have been inspired by our vision. Our success is down to the goodwill and generosity of these supporters.
